
Directoratul National De Securitate Cibernetica (DNSC)
The Romanian National Cyber Security Directorate (DNSC) is the national competent authority responsible for ensuring the cybersecurity of Romania’s civilian cyberspace. As the lead institution for cyber risk management, incident response, and strategy, DNSC carries out the Government’s cybersecurity policy and defines public strategies at national level.
DNSC fulfils regulatory, supervisory, and control functions, coordinates and supports sectoral CSIRTs, and operates Romania’s National CSIRT, Governmental CSIRT, and Governmental PSIRT. It manages national cyber crises, conducts vulnerability assessments and digital forensics, and serves as the certification authority for cybersecurity compliance and standards. Its mission is to ensure the cybersecurity of the national cyberspace in close collaboration with all relevant actors. Its vision is to position Romania as a recognized leader in cybersecurity at international level.
